So #optimisticbynature we created Urban Monkey – the drinks we want to drink everyday: yummy, all natural and RAW – with all the goods mother nature meant for us, supporting positive impact projects with every bottle sold.

Have you ever wonder why some juices taste always the same and not really like the fruits they contain?
It is because they are homogenized and heat pasteurized. Like you at home, you don’t heat your juices because that would destroy the vitamins, enzymes and other nutrients. We want them alive!

Urban Monkey juices are cold pressed with a hydraulic press that takes the best out of fruits and veggies. In simple words, it is just like an elephant jumping on your fruits & vegies.. Cold pressing creates longer freshness, naturally avoids oxidation and gives much more nutrients than conventional juicing.

The sugar in urban monkey comes exclusively from fruits and veggies and that is different. On top, because it is RAW, it is packed with enzymes which makes it easy for the body to turn it into positive energy.

Not all vitamins are equal just as not all juices are equal. Some vitamins are synthetically produced and added in a drink. Pasteurized juices lose vitamins and add syntetic ones after! We know – it’s crazy to take out the natural benefits and then add chemicals in to get what nature initially provided! We encourage you to read the label to make sure you get only what you want and what is good for you in a juice.

HOW DO WE KEEP IT RAW? THROUGH HPP – COLD PRESSURED
Our RAW drinks are under really REALLY high pressure (6000Bars – like diving 60km deep in the Ocean) – pathogens don’t survive this huge pressure, but all the essential nutrients do. They are safe and have a longer life vs the freshly squeezed juices, while vitamins and nutrients are alive and active.

We have a committment of 5 cents per bottle. We will not stop there, we will communicate these projects with our products, our boxes, our sales channels and our communication tools.
CARE FOR ECOLOGICAL IMPACT!
100% RECYCLABLE PET PLASTIC
The only way to get our RAW juices to you is through HPP and this requires plastic bottles (remember the 60km deep ocean pressure?! imagine glass there!). Ours are already 100% recyclable PET. We strive for better. All Urban Monkey bottles will be soon recycled – no new plastic material will go into production in 2020. We are looking for alternatives like plant based bottles, and it’s part of our mission to support projects that are developing alternatives and dealing with recycling plastic.
100% SAFE AND HEALTHY
Thanks to the fact that Urban Monkey it is not heat pasteurized, with a short life, there is no interaction between the bottle and the drink.
LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT
If you only fancy the locally grown fruits and veggies then best you buy them from the farmer and cold-press at home or ask for the same in your fav bars. But if you want to go for oranges, bananas, pineapples, super-fruits or your locals out of season then you have to know they don’t grow here, most of the fruits and veggies not growing in Europe arrive through Netherlands. Having them cold-pressed right there makes it the most efficient and eco-friendly way to get those RAW vitamins and nutrients to you.
